I am trying to rebuild my life after the laptop was stolen from my car.
I had 3.1 on another laptop but could not get it to run so Support had me uninstall 3.1, download Emanager 5.2 . Now it keeps saying that a previous version exists and won't continue. I tried it on my other one with the same result. Tech says there is something in the registry but cannot help me find it.
Please tell me there is an easy way out.

Delete the emanager and/or winctx folder from your c drive and then try installing it again.

I tried changing the name of the emanager folder before and it didn't help. I'll delete it next and let you know.

I deleted the emanager folder and there is no winctx.
It still says:
An emanager 510a01 or earlier version has been detected. This upgrade is only compatible with R510a01 and later version with SQL express migrated. please backup your database. uninstall old version of emanager and remove the MSDE database engine.

From memory go into IIS and list websites, there will be a lingering default site relating to old 3.1, remove that and it will install.
