First a huge thank you for setting up this board, My story is similar: New Network Admin taking over the phone...
This site has answered all my original questions and has great solutions.
One that is still giving me trouble, We have a DID that goes to DISA. We can use it to bypass the receptionist and transfer, but when I try to remote forward, it seems to give me error tones.
I get a steady tone when DISA picks up but if I dial 359 to forward or 355 to forward all, I get a series of double tones and always ending in 4 tones and receptionist after 3 tries.
I have asked the CEO and VP if there is a system password and neither knows of one.
My question, is there a system password for DISA and where is it in Session manager so I can reset it?
What is the series of commands to remote forward with DISA, I have tried 359,ext,pass#,355, fwd ext. I have changed the station PW, no help.

We have a Axxess system 8.224 I am using Sesion manager 2.59 with DB Studio program version 8.223.
I am not happy that the DB program is a different version than the system, but so far everything is working well.

Thank You again for the site. smile

Since it sounds like you are getting DISA dial tone, I don't think there is a DISA security code programmed. But that is programmed in Trunk Group Programming in session manager. It is on the far right column that you can not see unless you pull the slide bar over.

When you get DISA dial tone, dial 359 then the extension number of the phone you want forwarded. Then dial the extension's password followed by a #. The station password is under Devices and Feature codes>Stations. Then dial the Call Forward Feature code. Then dial a Trunk Access code, like 92001 for Trunk Group 1. Then dial the destination phone number.

Hope this helps.

BTW. It is ok about the mismatch between the System version and Session Manager versions. As long as the first 3 digits match, it all talks to each other. That also is true as far as the Voice Mail Software too. So 8.223, 8224, and 8226, if there were 8.226, will all talk to each other.

Thank You, Benedogg for the quick reply.
I was not using trunk group. When I did, I got an outside line when I rang the ext..(Progress.)
I then tried again and this time after forward code 355 I typed an internal extension and it worked.
:toast:
I dunno if it was stuck or if I just fat fingered it every time before but thank you.
Jim
