Full Disclosure-I also posted this in another forum so no scathing replies please grin

Let me start by saying that I am new to the Samsung Systems (OfficeServ7100) as we have been an Avaya house forever. We started selling Samsung a couple months ago and I have been setting up our in-house demo/ lab system trying to get a handle on this thing.
I am currently working on the WeVoIP application and it is mostly working with a few exceptions. We use a combination of Samsung devices all of which are on the latest software and compatible per the Samsung list.

1) I am unable to get it to work over our internal WiFi but it does work over the LTE (AT&T) Cellular System. So far Samsung Support has not been able to determine why.

2) When you make a call with WeVoIP and choose to use the WeVoIP app it requires that you insert a "9" to be able to dial an external number. I understand that the "9" is for ARS as it is the same as dialing from the desk phone but the prospect of having to amend all of the contact numbers in a cell phone to now have a second number with the 9 added doesn't make any sense to me. As the WeVoIP is given a different extension from the OS7100 is it possible to set these extensions up in a way that would not require the 9 for outbound.

3) Maybe it's just me but I can't seem to find any really good forums or support site for this system. Any suggestions by chance? I would much rather use forums to resolve my issues than having to contact samsung everytime. Ands yes clearly there is this one but it seems that in comparison to the IP Office forum it is considerably less "occupied".

Thanks in advance

This forum has been a little quiet lately, it seems to ebb and flow, at times it's busy at times it's quiet.

Have you put your WIFI SSID into the system? This is required so the system/wevoip know when your on a public wifi vs your internal wifi.

There is a section where you make it insert 9 for all extensions other than internal/hunt groups.

Have a look for the manual on whatever your tech support site is nowdays in the US.

I can send you our one, but the system is slightly different in different markets.

I have not entered the WiFi SSID. Where would that be done as I can't find it?

Can you point me to the section where I can insert a 9 as you mentioned.

I've downloaded what I think is the current Manual from our dealer site but the biggest issue I'm having is the terminology. It's completely different than what I'm used to with Avaya so I am struggling to even find the section that deals with whatever feature I'm working on.

The login profile section in DM, is where you need to go for both your problems.

DM has a search function which is handy, and each screen has a help but that's not so good.

I haven't done much other than Samsung (little bit of Siemens, and looked at NEC/CISCO).

I do like the tables that samsung has for everything though which i don't think many others do

So I added the SSID into 5.2.23 and seems to have been the problem with that and I added the 9 into the Auto Prefix Code section which preliminary testing seems to have also been the answer. Ironically tech support was not aware of that as the solution since they told me it was not possible.

The more I get into the Samsung the more it grows on me for sure.

Thanks for all of your help

One item worth noting is that if you decide to use the Auto Prefix Code then you likely want add your internal extension to the Exception List.
Just Enter CAPITAL 'XXX' based on you r extension length. And it is an actual "X" not a number.

If you don't do this then it will insert a '9' into the extension and can't complete the call.
