I just got off the phone with a Mitel rep and she told me that the only way to change the ring pattern (from 3 to 6 rings before voicemail picks up) is to create a new hunt group, add the extension I am trying to change into the hunt group and then have all the calls coming to the extension forward to the hunt group to make it effective.

Now, I am in no way an expert when it comes to making programming changes in the DB studio, but am I missing something here? Shouldn't there be an easier way to change one person's ring lenght?

thanks!

Change System Forward Initiate system timer to desired length and you will be good. Keep in mind this affects all system call forwarding paths though.

you can also use system fwd to do this. Go to-Station related info--system fwd paths--make a new path with the ext in the first slot and VM in the second. then make this your fwd path for the station.
