I'm working on a project to get the IPRC and IP PhonePlus configured for a remote agent. Supposedly, the company I work for had this setup and working 5 years ago, but of course it was removed and they have lost the setup guide to the phone.

After ordering a replacement power plug the phones now turn on but they do not connect to the IP CARD because the the IP address it is looking for is no longer valid. I need to get into the phone to change this. DHCP is still working and assigning the phone a valid IP. When I try to http into the phone it prompts me for a user name and password which are either the default which I don't know or they have been long since forgotten.

Is there a way to get into the programming from the phone to change the IP address such as a special button sequence or can anyone tell me how to default the phone and the default user name and password? The later will probably need to be a private message as I don't believe the forums allow that information to be public knowledge.

Thank you!

Well for all those with this question you hold 7&8 while you plug the phone in to change settings.

Now does anyone know what would cause the phone to hang on "WAITING FOR CALL PROCESSING?"

Either your not getting to the IPRC card or your mac address is not configured correctly

I've watched the phone connect to the IPRC using Hyper terminal. Before I changed the IP address of the IPRC on the phone it would not do this. The problem now seems to be a disconnect between the IPRC and the extension.

In the IPRC web it shows this under circuits:

Circuit 1
Device Description
Device ID XX
Device IP Address 192.168.69.65
Device Type PhonePlus
Connected YES
Send OFF
Receive OFF

What concerns me is the Send/Receive status of OFF...

I believe this might have to do with the Voice Resources on the IPRC card. I've changed two of them from "Out of Service" to "IP Endpoints" but they remain with red X's through them. In the Help documentation it states

"When an IP endpoint comes online, the system may not have sufficient VoIP resources to allocate to the endpoint. When this happens, the endpoint camps on for a VoIP resource until it is available. While camping on for the resource, the endpoint’s display shows a message that states it is waiting for the resource."

I don't know why the "IP Endpoints" are X'ed out, but I'm hoping it is not a maximum devices issue.

Has anyone seen this before that might be able to help?

Check your licensing under the help menu, that will tell you if you're maxed out.

Well under the help menu it says i'm only using 418 of 2000 so I guess that isn't an issue. I was thinking it was more of a Time Slot issue but I can't see how that would prevent it from completely not working.

are you sure that's IP devices and not total devices? Seems incredibley high for spendy IP licensing.

Hmm well it says my "IP networking licenses in Use" are 0 of 0 but id doesn't say anything about IP devices... but if this is causing the issue then I wonder how did they have this setup before...
