We are switching to a new domain and need to get the E-mail gateway switched over. From my understanding, all we need to do is change the settings under the E-mail gateway in the DB Studio. My first question: is the Gateway password the password for the Administrator E-mail Address above it? Second: I am not sure what the current password is in case we need to go back to it in the event we have issues. How do I get back, I was thinking I could do a restore on it. Is that overkill?

1. No, it is the password to the email account you've set up for the voice mail.

2. What's the username? There is a standard convention that is pretty common although isn't always the case.

Your are syaing it is for the e-mail address at the top? The username is set to InterTel.

If you're talking about the Administrator mailbox, that is in there just for notification purposes.

The username InterTel is not what I was talking about so the password could be anything.

All email addresses have a username and password to login. The email address for the voice mail is no different. The Gateway password field is where you plug in that password which is specific to the voice mail's email account.

While you're in DB Programming under Email Gateway hit F1 and it will tell you what each field is for.
