Customer complains that 2 phones out of 5 they can't hear or be heard. Replace the handsets? Or could be something else? System 1 year old.

First make sure they don't have the volume way down, Also swap hand set cords and make sure that's not the problem. Also use a known good hand set and make sure its not the base.If none of the above are the problem replace the handsets. Its not like them to go bad only one year old. Ask them if they have been getting shocked by static electricity Hope this helps

dtmf is correct, check the volume level, lift handset, adjust with volume buttons. might as well check handsfree & ringer too!
