Has anyone worked with a Rauland Telecenter 4 system? From my brief research it looks pretty proprietary. I may need to add two pots lines to it and get them programmed. Any ideas?

Looks like no one knows what it is. I for one have never heard of it and I've been in the industry since 1970.

The last time I saw a Rauland system it was in a school. It controlled the schools intercom/speaker system. Dont know much about it but I think your right, its "pretty proprietary".

The Rauland Telecenter 4 is a loudspeaker/intercom system used in schools. It isn't a phone system if that's what you were thinking. It's soul porpose is voice announcements or 2 way conversations with classrooms.

I thought it was the phone system. I haven't seen the system in person, someone on site told me that was the phone system. Hopefully they have a more standard phone system.

Sorry. I misread. It IS a phone system. However, it does appear that classroom intercom calling is its primary use.

It is a phone system and an Intercom system it was replaced by the Telecenter-V about 7 years ago. It is expandable to 500 phone speaker combination ports, and its very easy to program if you have the proper software. It is in fact very proprietary.

Rauland sells equipment through a distributor network, if you go to www.rauland.com you can look up who the distributor in your area is.

More than likely you have plenty of room to add ports and or CO lines to the system you will need to add a CO line adapter card model number TC4171 and a UM1000 line amp to get it to work. If it has line tied to it already you will find a chassis or chassis's in the system each chassis will hold 5 TC4171 if yours is full you will need a chassis model TC4170 wiring it up is another matter altogether… IE it's hard and you will need manuals.

Tech support is available only to certified technicians, but if you are an end user and own the system they might help you out. The local distributor may also offer tech support, but may charge a fee.

I can help as much as possible, but you best bet is to contact the distributor for your area. If there is no distributor in your area (But I doubt it) I can help you out.
