They will link with SIP soon and so will IPOffice. The target we have will be Definity customers with SIP to tie back to small remote office's. Someone with deep pockets who want's the latest techno garb. Talks are ongoing to sell thru Bestbuy to reach small offices who have or need a data network but no voice system yet.

The remote office feature in on the horizon. It is just not released yet.

And according to the release seminar I went to, it could actually support over 20 extensions but they don't want to put it in writing (or step toes on Ip Office sales department). The Nimcat guy says his office has 70 phones hooked up.

It seems to me to be limited to where you can actually do a slam dunk sale of one.

best buy, so they are basically cutting out all the business partners. I hear that this is supposed to replace the ACS.

Somehow, I doubt that that will work. After all, people still need wiring done and we have tons of customers that we have to set up their "Best Buy" routers as they don't have the technical know-how to do it (and sometimes, we replace those SOHO routers with proper business class ones).

And unless it can support more stations, the chances it can replace the ACS is kinda slim...

Target market is small of large to tie in with Communications Manager. Avaya places this product in their enterprise market place.
