Techs,
I have a Lucent Imerge Centrex Gateway connected to a 5ESS TR303 remote rerminal (installed by Lucent almost 5 years ago for future purposes, but still hasn't been used). With my Imerge sitting idle for so long, can anyone offer me any opinions regarding the Imerge Gateway's reputation in today's market? Is the Imerge outdated? Is it still supported by Lucent, or was support passed off to Avaya? I notice that Avaya is heading full steam into VOIP.
Big Thanks in advance for any opinions, Mike

I would imagine that it would still be supported through Lucent/Alcatel but not for sure.
Avaya is now only the CPE side of the house.

I did some further research, and found out that the Imerge is still supported. From what I could find, it looks like the Imerge originally belonged to AG Communiations, whom (at least as far as the GTD-5 side) was taken over by Lucent a long time ago. I didn't realize that Avaya is now only CPE. That's interesting. I've been doing some comparing between the different 4600 series instruments, to include the 1-X. We don't use IP phones now...but I know that we eventually will convert over.
Thanks for responding!
