Just installed this new system last week. My customer asked me a question and I had no answer.
If you want to leave a MSG for anoter mailbox without calling in.
So let's say it late at night and he want s to leave a MSG for EXT 14. Is there a way to hit 777 and leave a MSG for EXT 14.
I don't want to call and wait for it to go to VM or make sure they have there DND plus VM cover buttons on.

Thanks in advance.

They could log into mailbox then do a *8 to transfer to another Ext.
It would be quicker to simply intercom call the Ext. and let the vmail cover work.

The PVM does not give you the option of creating a message from your mailbox log-in like the rest do. You will have to intercom the extension and wait for it to pick up. It would be nice if the extension had DND on.

In the AA the PVM can crate a sector code to a phantom Maillbox. This maybe not the best solution.

No light so you would have to check it.

If this is a four box mail then forget it.

What Hal said Tony.
I would asign #310 to everyone that has mail. Instead of the cover button.

Thanks guys. I just told him he had to let it ring and it would go to the mailbox. Thanks for all the help.

You might also want to cut down the VM cover rings too. Even if the guy is sitting at his desk it's kind of silly for it to ring three times for him to pick it up. I would change it to two rings and also give him a DND button for when he is not there.
