I am trying to upgrade from an old PC card voice messaging system to a new Partner Messaging R7.0 system with a 6 port card.
I physically installed the module in the left most slot of a 5-slot carrier with the Partner ACS R7.0 in the center slot. I then put the 6 port card into the left most slot of the Partner Messaging module and turned on the system. After all the lights turned green and stayed green I went to programe and that's where my problem is.
I assigned the extensions 42-47 to hunt group 7 and unassigned the old VMS extensions used for the PC card (78 & 79). After this I tried to log into the voice mail menu (int 777) and all I get is a busy signal.
Any suggestion as to what I could have missed or what I can try to log into the voice mail system?
In case anyone needs this here is the read out when I use F59.
PACS R7.0 910
Thanks

Double check the documentation. Ports 42-47 are not quite right if you install the Avaya Partner Messaging module in slot #1.

Okay I feel like a bone head now.
In my rush to play with a new toy I failed to see that the messaging system takes up extensions at the end of the physical extensions that you have. So for me it is 19-24.
Thanks
