Anyone using them instead of the 54XX digital?
Any pros or cons?
Reason I ask is that I really don't like having to scroll over to view the other buttons on the 5420's.
Plus I think the 64XX's are a better looking phone.

I have them on our office phone system. Not any different to me than the 44xx phones.

About the only con's I can think of would be 1: they are discontinued, and 2: they use paper labels.

not on IPO, but I have some sites with them on CM. They are OK, I no longer like to deploy phones with paper labels though. Back in the day I worked for a car dealership. They had many 64XX sets. When the sales people would slam the phone down the "paper clip" that held the switch hook up would come loose. I had to open a fix many of them becuase of this. My other issue with the 64XX is the display. It is hard to move them up and down. You can easily break them.

I have a bunch of installs that have either used their 64XX, or I got new ones.

Both sides love the phone.

We have had a few customers that after using the 5420's for a while complain about the scrolling over issue. Not a big problem they just mentioned they didn't care for it much.
And I can't say I blame them. I was using a 5420 on our system, but went back to my 4624IP phone because I didn't like scrolling either.

no matter which phones we deploy, WE NEVER SELL an EU24. Biggest waste of time. 4424/4450 only....

EU24 is rediculous at best...

Mongo, I must ask what is so bad about the EU24?
I am new to the IPO and am just curious.

If you look at it....it has a row of 12 buttons on each side. But the display is only big enough for it to show the name of the button for only 1 side at a time. You want to see the other sides status, you have to hit the toggle button for it to show the other 12 buttons labels.

It's the same as the 54XX and the big left/right arrows. Some people dont mind.... Some cant stand it.
