We're currently running I believe release 4.1 on our Mitel 3300 MXe. We have the old version of MAS (whatever it was called) running on a Dell R200 server next to the phone controller.
I put a request into our vendor to get us updated to Release 5 and the latest MAS to fix a handful of issues we have.
I'm being told that in order to upgrade to MAS, that R200 has to be upgraded to an R210. Now I do see that's the system they deploy from the factory (as the R210 I'm sure is the most recent model), but why would I have to replace a server that I thought was already overkill? We BARELY use the MAS functions but I dont want to give them up.
If MAS can run under VMware I'm wondering why the hardware itself is so specific.
