There sure is a program. Get into programming mode and go to the Line Assign section--tell what phone you want to program and then just assign whatever line you want to appear on that phone. If you want it to ring---then choose Appear & Ring. That's it!!
I assume you have the manual.

This is an 824,so the program doesnt have appear and ring. It has line access and then ringing. I set certain extensions for line access and for those lines to ring. The lines do ring, but I dont see on the display anything telling me that Line 001 or 002 ,etc... is calling in.I see the arrows blinking next to the lines, but nothing on the display above where the time and date is.

In your above senereo you only need 1 IC even for VM transfer. The only exception is if you answer lines 10 and above through your intercom.
The only other exception would be if someone in your office called you via the intercom and you wanted to tranfer them to VM.

That's normal unless you have a Caller ID equipped system (An M8 CII) for lines 1-8. Lines 9+ use a CLID card in the extension module.

A couple of people in the office tell me that they used to see on the upper display window which line was calling in: line 001, 002, etc...
Ill go out there on monday and make sure that is what they used to see and when this stopped happening. Ive been told that a refurb 824 cabinet had been installed with the same dr5 software from the previous cabinet, which had a burned out power supply.

Seeing what line is ringing on a mod 824 without line appearances...

Sorry it doesn't happen. You must have the line appear on your phone and be set to ring. There is no option like on CICS or MICS for "ring Only"

It does appear and ring. On the 824, they have it under "Line Access and ringing" instead of "Appear and ring". All in all, on this 824 system, the lines are accessed through individual line buttons, they do ring, but they do not see anything, telling them that LINE 1 OR LINE 2 etc.. is ringing in to their phone, on the upper display window. They do see arrows to the side of the line buttons. but no actual words spelled out anywhere on the upper display when a line is ringing in, except for the time or date.

As I stated before, that's all they're going to see without Caller ID.

The flashing arrows on the display beside the line buttons tells them which line is ringing in.
