Morning to everyone:

We have a client (doctors office) using message notification with the mailbox dialing the Doc on call. The call cuts off at 60 seconds, and because the message hasn't completely played, it still sees it as new and proceeds to call out again . . . and again . . .

I can replicate the problem in the customer's system as well as the one we have in our shop.

I have found that you can press a '2' while the message is playing and this makes the VMS save the message.

I have also found PGM 160-161 - 56 'auto save new message', that when changed from the DF of unused to used saves the message, but it has to play the entire message for this to work.

Somewhere there is a timer that's biting me in the a$$. Can someone point me to it?

Thanks in advance. Edward

Found the answer to my problem. Figured that I should share.

System timers, PGM180-182, 186 attribute 59: 'VM Notify play auto end over analogue CO' Default is 60 seconds. Set it out to 5 minutes; VM COS allows for a 5 minute message.
