Hi Folks- I'm a newbie to phones. Please help. I have a Strata DK 96 phone sys, with Contact DK CS2149 voicemail card. I'm told this means 4 ports- 27 hours. VM stopped working. The card just cycled through a self test, then lit up lights 1 and 3 (if I remember) The manual said this could be hard drive/ eeprom. So I looked at the drive, an IBM 512 MB laptop drive. I had an old 3GB laptop drive, so I unplugged the old and put in the 3GB. Now it seems to just blink the status light. An improvement? How do I format/prepare this drive for use? Is this going to work? I think the drive probably has a bunch of junk on it, maybe even linux or os/2! Any advice?
