Has anyone ever integrated a Polycom KIRK wireless system with a Toshiba CIX 670? The system consists of a Polycom IP6000 server, 2 Base Stations, and 4 repeaters with 6 KIRK 5020 handsets. The Toshiba has 2 MIPU cards of course and SIP stations built in it. I have talked to Toshiba but the person I talked to didn't seem to know much about it. The person I have been dealing with at Polycom possibly doesn't know what he is doing either. Go figure. He has looked at the Trace Routes from the IP6000 and says that the Toshiba is rejecting the attempts to connect from the IP6000. I quote from Polycom, "Your SIP server(CIX 670) is responding with "403 Forbidden" and "404 Not Found" messages". Can anyone help?

I have a Kirk Wireless Server 300 connected to our CIX1200 via a MIPU card with various Kirk handsets.
It all works fine.

Okay Carl, how did you integrate it from the Toshiba side of things? Polycom says I have it programmed just fine and Toshiba says that too. Are there any special things you need to do for it?

I would have to log into the server 300 and take a look but from memory it was pretty straight forward.
Did you assign URI and passwords to the SIP extns?

In the SIP configuration in the KWS300 I have Local Port: 5060 Transport: UDP Server: MIPU IP address Register each endpoint on separate port: un ticked Send all messages to current registrar: un ticked Registration expire(sec: 3600 Max forwards: 70 SIP type of service (TOS/Diffserv): 96
The rest is in default.
Under Users I have
DECT Settings IPEI: IPEI number from the handset Access code: Blank Standby text: What you want to display on the handset eg 100 Warehouse
SIP Settings Username / Extension: SIP extn number eg 100 Domain: Blank Displayname: 100 Warehouse Authentication user: URI from the SIP extn eg 100 Authentication password: SIP URI Password eg 100 Disabled: un ticked
That is about all of the settings. Make sure you can log a SIP handset onto the system as the SIP extension you are trying to make the wireless handset first to make sure all is OK with the system/software/MIPU firmwares etc etc
Let me know how you get on.
Regards Carl

Thanks Carl,
I will review my settings when I go back to site. As far as on the Toshiba CIX side though, are there any special things I need to consider? This is a brand new install too, so all of the equipment has the latest firmware and software.
Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated!
