I HAVE A CUSTOMER WHO HAS A SMALL VODAVI SYSTEM. HE HAD AT ONE TIME A STEREO HOOKED TO IT FOR MUSIC ON HOLD HE HAS NOW PURCHASED A SYSTEM THAT PLAYS ADVERTISMENTS AND IT WILL NOT PRODUCE ANY SOUND. THE PLUG IN IS THE SAME ON BOTH UNITS. IT HAS BEEN SEVERAL YEARS SINCE HE HAD THE STEREO HOOKED UP. I KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT THE VODAVI SYSTEMS. ANY IDEAS WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS EMMITT

Emmit, what model Vodavi are you dealing with? If it is an old analog 308,616 or 1224 there are two volume control pots on the the left side of the KSU you may want to check. One is for BGM and the other for MOH. I usually use my toner probe to listen to the output on the music source at the MOH input on the block. Maybe his unit is not putting anything out or the phono jack is is different than what his new unit requires.

Also if they are using a CD player try the headphone jack on the CD player instead of the LINE OUT jack as it only puts out at a low volume and does not use the units volume control.
