On a Tie EK 612--as far as I know--there are no ports, terminals, jacks nor holes to plug in a MOH device. You will have to upgrade to a ModKey. Click on the EQUIPMENT link on this site for help. Good Luck.

The EK612 does not support MOH, You can however get a unit that will go between the lines and the KSU. Can't remember what or who makes them but we have been asked to put a few of them on 4line sets and they should work for you also. I'ts worth a shot. Perhaps someone will know more about them. Or you could google for MOH and call different suppliers to see.

Maybe I spoke too quickly--I know that Viking makes a MOH-2L, a 2 line MOH interface---but from an expense standpoint, I think the upgrade is a better deal. Unless you found some MOH interfaces on E-Bay (I think Radio Shack used to sell them too)--I just don't think its a cost effective way of doing it--especially if you only have 2 lines--I bet if you looked around you could get a ModKey for less than $75.00. Also---I remember the old interfaces would only work if you dialed things like "**6" or something like that. It was a pain. However, maybe they've come out with some new stuff--like DTMF says "it's worth a shot". Check out E-Bay and do a Google search--you might come up with something. Let us know how things turned out.

Wasn't there a way to add MOH on the 612? Some kind of work around?
Then again, how much is the ModKey KSU? Around $100?

I agree, upgrade to a Modkey 16 it will probably cost you less. I just wanted to give him all his options.

the modkey was a great efficient and cheap system in like 1980 something, but in 2004 it's hard to call it an upgrade. How about a lateral move with music? mark

You can add MOH to a 612 I had a KSU that was modified with a mono plug by a refurb house. I think it was done by wavetech plus here in Tampa but that has been years ago.
