I have left other messages referring to this....but now I want to ask point blank.

First of all, I have an NEC Electra Elite 192.

Can anyone please tell me how to access the Voicemail System Manager? Is it a telnet into the KSU or is it accessible via the handset programming? I keep reading about using this to administer the Voicemail, but that is as far as it gets. I have the default password handy, but am not sure if this is still valid.

BTW- in case I didn't mention it... I am the IT guy for a company and I inherited this system with the promotion. No previous docs exist. I know, I know...heard this story a million times before. I am documenting everything for the next guy, though. I can do that much at least.

Thanks for any help.

I have no idea how to access the manager mailbox. Would that be covered in the Voicemail users guide or an admin guide?

you need to log into some mail boxes. (such as the receptionist, or the phone that someone in-charge used to sit at)after logging in press "more" button then look to see if 'mgr' is an option, if it is your in. The only other way to get in is through co-sessions and a laptop. The system admin/mgr guide will only help you if you can get into the mgr. box first.

I have been looking, but still have not located the mgr. mailbox. Could it have been deleted or does it have to exist somewhere?

Also, how do I aquire the sys manager guide and CoSessions?

Thanks again for your help.
