I have a school that has a DXP with an old release of the comdial VVP 4 port VM, every so often the teachers complain of getting garbled messages. I has restarted the VM and ran a defrag and scandisk which found nothing. Also they are complaining about message waiting light going on with out a message being in the mailbox. I was wondering if the older VVP(dos not sure the version 8.xx) might be causing this problem, I have run into similar problems with these VM systems on a Lucent switch and corrected it by replacing the VM. Any help would be great.

we need more info to help out. What type of ports are you using. analog or digital?
