OK, I wasn't giving you the whole pic. When the calls xfr after hours, it xfrs to another office in a nearby city, & then the caller hears the after hours grtg from that phone system, (which happens to be a Starplus digital),then they are put on hold,hear a few seconds of music, then they are xfrd to the ans. serv. But (backing up),before the call xfrs the first time, occasionally, not every time, a piece of an old grtg is heard, sometimes it is just a loud bang in the ear, then you hear the xfrd grtg. Not being real familiar with this system, I'm not sure if the xfr from the DX-80 is made by the KSU, or the V M. If it comes from the VM, then obviously I will have to find the trouble, other than disabling the VM. The VM is the 7271C on a compact flash card.
