Just hooked up a 2-port StarMail to a DCS Compact.

Purchased a 2 SLI card, stations numbered 221, 222.

Connected both ports to these stations. Did the recommended programming. Just to make sure I'm not being a dumb*ss, how do I "call" into the voicemail? I should just be able to dial 221 or 222, OR the VM group that I've designated as 505.

What happens is: 221 or 222 says "Busy". 505 says "not assigned".

Unplug the ports on the VM, and it rings fine.

I have an 816 port card in the StarMail.

Any suggestions?

You need to have an analog port card in the StarMail, not an 816, and I can swap card for card if you like.

Also there is a fair amount of programming you need to do such as ports in 207, etc.

This is not critical hard, just have to have some help.
