OK - Here is the setup......I do not know if this belongs in the VODAVI forum or the VOIP forum...... I have an XTSc system with a talkpath, I have 5 IP phones, four of the phones are in different locations throughout the city. The problem I have ran into is echo on the remote phones( I say something, then i hear myself a second later. My system has several compression methods to choose from. The default is G.723 but I also have G.729, G.711 U-LAW, G.711 A-LAW. Now Iam not that keen on the data side. I know that the G.711 U-LAW is uncompressed and uses alot of bandwidth. My question is at what point do I blame this echo on my phone system or on the public internet..any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks - derek
