Just thinking about the 601 IC. Best salesman I ever supported started selling MELCO IC's with 601's because the overall cost was $25 (about, remember that this is like '82 or so) cheaper. I convinced him that the extra install time ate up the $25 and was an overall losing idea. Man, he was good. Of course that was back in the "gravy" days when everyone was P O'd at AT&T and/or whatever LEC was supplying the 1A2 system. It was so great that one day he swore that all he had to do was say "I sell telephone systems." and the prospective customer would say "Where do I sign".

When I was young, I was Liberal. As I aged and wised up, I became Conservative. Now that I'm old, I have settled on Curmudgeon.
