Anyone have any luck with different panasonic phones in noisy environments? The new phones(KX-T343) don't work in one area of a print shop that I just put a TDE100 into. Customer says their old phone system worked fine(of course). Looking at trying an older 74XX or 76XX model phone, or even a 321 to see if there is a difference. If that doesn't work, maybe a talkback speaker system?

Just fishing for some ideas, thanks.

As tacky as I think it is, sometimes we just have to do what we have to do in order to adapt to a particular environment. Here are some suggestions:

Have you tried working with the gain (up/down) on the card that ext is on?

I need to clarify a little. Front office admin uses the intercom feature over speakerphone and calls to the print cutter area phone, KXT343, with auto/ans turned on. The phone comes on but when you try and talk you can't hear the admin person at all on the speaker. The noise from the print cutter is too much for the mic. If the admin staff person picks up their handset, then you can talk over speakerphone, though still a little choppy and not as well as the old phones(thought the new 343's were all full duplex?). This is why I was asking about different models, maybe one with a mic that isn't so sensitive?

You can turn down the mike via Gain control.

Duplex speaker and high noise not good. Try an APT set, you will need an apt card.

Are all the old digital phones full duplex too? Like the 72XX, 74XX and 76XX models? Or even the basic 321?
