Someone can correct me on this if needed.

But the way it works is not the way you HOPE it would work.
Once you get it set up, when a message is left it will give you an email "notice". When you click on the "notice" it then goes back to the Call pilot to play the message on your computer.
I found it slow and bulky.
I was expecting an email with an attachment that would have the message I could play.
And it does not go YOUR email address. It goes into its own area within Outlook (if you use Outlook - that is what I was using) that is on your computer that is on the same network.
I was hoping to send it to any email I wanted - NOPE

If you don't mind the way it works, it does ok and you do get an email about the new message.

Pretty close.
So what you do is load the Unfied Messaging software onto a PC.
It creates it's own special folder.
When using the software from a BCM I know it will ask you if to keep it separate or not....cannot recall on the CP100/150.
You also must install Callpilot player to play the .vbk file in the email. Mobiles cannot play .vbk files.

FYI for BCM only readers or if you want to upgrade:
"Message Forwarding" which is on BCM only.
What that does is simply forward a wav file (instead of .vbk) to your normal inbox.
The disadvantage of that is it will not be marked as read or deleted on your telset when you delete or listen to it on your mobile or email program.

But you can still use the Unified Messaging method or both.

I set this up for a customer and it worked pretty well. https://www.vbktowav.com/ You get .wav files to your email account or smartphone. 30 day free trial. You need 1 unified messaging seat.

Customer (and myself as well) was hoping that it would indeed send an email w/ an attachment to any email address provided. This setup is in a law office and many of the staff are out of the office during the day and the thought was that this could be beneficial to them. Looks like this may not be the case...
