Ken, there is a telephone available for people with hearing problems that has audio to text. It works very good unless the caller talks real fast and mumbles.

The phone is FREE and I use it. It's great for the answering machine (separate device), I hold the handset next to the answering machine, press the call caption button on the phone, then the play on the answering machine. It voice message is transcribed to text on the screen. It's great for those calls where all you can do is shake your head and hope they call back because you don't know who "Hi, it's me" is!
