Thanks for that, I'll do my best to get hold of them. Meanwhile I rebooted the unit and it showed V4.3 so I'm thinking that is the operating system number? Regards, David No you cannot find the passcode through a handset but if the owner contacts Samsung they can issue a temporary passcode that will allow you to reset it to default through a handset.As long as it is not above level 5 software then you can no longer reset it through the handset , only through the SIO port on the motherboard.
