When I retire, which could be in a year or two or less, I think I'd like to work a couple days a week. Not as much to affect Social Security payments, which I may take early.
If I had a small business, I'd probably buy a used proven TDM small system like a Partner or Panasonic. A year ago I was with a company that along with conventional TDM PBXs sold hosted VoIP. The latency (if I'm using the right word) or delay - was very significant.
