I have an Inter-Tel Axxess system v6.006, and I am trying to make an image of the EVMC hard drive. There have been no known problems with the unit, but it's been running for a few years.
I have had some difficulty making an image, though. I attached it to a computer using a USB adapter and tried to image it. Ghost v15 choked on it at about 40%. Linux/Partimage gave errors ~87,700 sectors in, and Linux 'dd' also gave buffer I/O errors at around the same spot. I tried a couple of different PC's, same result. I will try again with the disk direct-attached to an IDE cable, but my confidence isn't really high.
It is an OS/2 system, and as I mentioned, it boots and runs without errors in the Axxess system. Has anyone imaged these units successfully? Is there some trick I'm missing?
