Client is a Dr's office and I believe they have the original phone system from the day they opened their practice (these guys are nearing retirement!).
System is a Partner and the phones are the old sets...not sure of the model #, but they look like shoe boxes. Big, square, clunky.
The receptionist wants a wired headset and the office manager wants a cordless. I think I can figure out the wired headset, but not sure how a modern lifter would work on the deep well of the handset cradle.
Recommendations are appreciated.

plantronics ct14 . if the phone doesn't have a AUX jack just use a regular splitter on the cord at the jack , no lifter needed
for the non cordless use a plantronics CT 10 again no lifter needed same set up

It's a single line telephone that plugs into the AUX port on the Partner phone.

Ah-ha.
Will that allow you to answer all lines assigned to the phone or just one line?

Corded is a little harder, the little red light on the base unit of the ct-10 makes a racket on the line, we always use the ct14 whether they want cordless or not

Ive never heard a complaint or seen a problem with "the little red light on the base unit of the ct-10 makes a racket on the line" my customers have always been happy
I recently installed three for a very picky customer who is very happy with them
