I've a customer with a Merlin Legend using a Merlin Mail. The Merlin Mail suffered a HD failure. We've gotten our hands on a refurbished Merlin Mail unit.
I've worked with other brands (NEC, Samsung, Panasonic, Comdial). I have the manuals - is reprogramming it pretty simple? I'm open to getting bids to have an 'expert' set it up (send PMs). They're old telecom co is gone.
Located in the DFW area if there are any local experts.
Thanks, Joe

Mike Daniel should be on the board later. He would be a good person to work with. You might want to get some information together about which version you have? stand alone or card VM? number of users, etc.. You could always have someone program it remotely, but a local person would be your best bet.

Thanks Mike. Its a standalone. About 30 phones, 15 users. There's about 8 incoming lines in 1 hunt group. One day greeting, one night greeting + holiday messages. It seems pretty simple. Of course everything seems simple until you're neck deep. related: https://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/success.png I've called around. The best AT&T guy I know is happily retired and staying that way. The other companies I call - the sales guys offer hourly rates, but talking to the techs, they admit they don't know the system (its too old). I don't think the client want's to pay to train a vendors tech on their system. I know I wouldn't want to. If someone knows someone local to TX or to the DFW area (or you know someone who knows might know someone), I'd be in your debt.

if it truly is merlin mail, all aspects of the merlin mail system can be programmed from anywhere it can be dialed from. mdaniel can certainly do this for you, all that is required would be that mike can dial to it...mel
