Hi All,
I'm a NEC tech who's been asked to move an Avaya phone system from one suite to another for a flower shop in a strip mall.
It looks pretty simple and I believe I can handle it ok but, I wanted to find out if there is a back up battery for memory. It is an Avaya Partner ACS R6, model 103G15/G16(28).
I did do a search here before posting, and hope I'm lucky enough that it is the "2 AAA batteries" solution and no soldering involved. I did see a label on the font of the cabinet for 2 AAA batteries but, I just want to make sure that is it.
Thanks

That would be them. If the system has the backup/restore card installed......backup the programming before powering down.

Wow, thanks for the quick replies!
I will definitely make sure the system is powered when replacing the batteries.
I did read a little about the backup/restore card, not sure if they have one. But, I've never programmed an Avaya before and probably don't have the software to make a back up? Or is it something anyone can do?
Thanks again

read the manual before you move it and be sure you have it with you when you bring the system up

Avaya has many manuals for AT&T/Lucent/Avaya branded systems posted on their website. Here is the link for the ACS R6 processor..... https://support.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100013830
