I am trying to install t series phones on IPO 500 v2.

I can't get the buttons to program. I have tried user rights and coping from one user to another. With user rights, 1 or 2 work, but that is it. with copy nothing seems to copy. We have both t7208 and t7316e's. I have the pages from the knowledge base that show the button numbers and this still doesn't help. This is on two seperate IPO's. Any ideas would be great.

Do you have the proper modules?
You are aware that the Nortel sets require the TCM mods, right?

We've never had trouble with Norstar set buttons. They're programmed just like native Avaya buttons. I'd experiment with one user...
Remember, if you're using User Rights, you must "Apply user rights" (or whatever it says) on each area.

The buttons do not map the same as in a Nortel.

The knowledgebase shows the button mapping in the users guides section....like this:

I always program the buttons from the phone then compare them. I just program a bunch of autodials and then any features I can that way in Manager it shows up in the right order. We have also noticed that some phones show up in Manager labeled as different version of a model number phone and they wont take the same User Rights buttons as another. The phones look identical but the IPO sees them as different phones.
