Avaya Partner
When on a call, the call comes in and out as if the signal is coming in and out. The call never disconnects so that's not a problem.. its just that we and the other party hear something like:
"h (click)...th (click)....son (click)....or(click)....flow (click)...."

So then we have to quickly grab their number off caller id (in between display flashes) while at the same time, inform the caller (in between flashes) that we are going to call them back on our cells. This is not only embarrassing, but its effecting my business. sometimes people just give up and call another florist. Valentines is coming up and we NEED this phone! Or do I really just need a baseball bat????

Have you called in somebody familiar with the Partner system? It seems like a simple problem to diagnose with a buttset and a few spare partner modules.

It seems that 2 or 3 lost good sales, which you will likely have from your description, would more than pay for someone to fix it or at least identify the culprrit card in the system. My guess is a bad power supply in one of the cards.

My thought wouild be it is better to spend a little money than to deal with all the problems. There is a cost in business to not spending money ie lost productivity, lost customer etc. It's a lot to bear for a service call which may cost 150 bucks plus maybe a module. And if you install a 4 line Panasonic those phones are *expensive* and you will need somebody who knows their way around a terminating block and cross connectss to make it work. Figure *way* more than a service call. By a factor of 4. Call a Partner tech and get it fixed and then enjoy the system. It's really an amazingly reliable system.

You have been given good advice here Barb.
Call in an Avaya BP and get your system checked out.
