ACS with a Partner Messaging. 6 lines in the system. Only line 5 rings directly to voicemail. Well, actually it 'half-rings' all the extensions that are programmed with immediate ring for that line.

Lines 1-3 ring first, then go to voicemail for that department.

Lines 4-5 are supposed to ring first (for 2 rings) then go to voicemail for that department (which is actually an AA menu). Only line 4 does that. Line 5 goes straight to the AA menu.

They appear to be set up all the same way in ACS programming. Is there some programming in the voicemail that I need to look at?

Thanks,
Bob

Look over programs 206,506,507 and you will be able to control how you want your lines to go to the AA.

It's not the voice mail ... it just receives the call from the phone system.

Double check all your ringing assignments and voice mail ports.

Thanks. I got it. Man... Okay, so Line 5 is used for overhead paging and line 6 is programmed on the button labelled line 5. UGH!! So, everything I did in programming to line 5 did nothing for me. Not exactly sure how I fixed it, but I was fumbling through the programming and decided to delete line 5 from loudspeaker paging. That killed the line 5 button on the phones and no incoming calls would work.

Then I saw where the line I was working on was really line 6, so I programmed line 6 on the line 5 button and added line 6 to Group Call Distribution group 7 and VOILA!!

Crazy stuff.
