Yesterday we installed a 10 phone Partner Version (aka IP Office basic edition). Before we started programming we upgraded the SD card from 7.0 to 7.0.27 This is suppose to be a stable release. When we installed this and plugged in phones we were showing the customer how the voice mail boxes worked and the voice mail would not work. The retrieve buttons would not work. Our techs were told by our supplier to reformat the SD card, which took time and made us look bad in front of our customer. We re-formatted the card and now it works.
What should we do different? reformat a new card before we up grade it? What are others doing?

We always (even before IPO) have our systems pre-programmed and tested before going on site.

Had the same problem after upgrading the system we had to hit the reset button. Everything started working after that.
