I'm looking for someone who has program tapes and probably a MAAP panel in order to get a long out-of-service Dimension 2000 operating again. This is for a non-profit historical organization.
However I wonder how likely it is that a 30-40 year old tape will even be readable now. It's my recollection that the tape drives were quite balky and prone to read errors even when new. My first-hand experience with these systems dates back to the 1980's.

Boy Arthur good luck on this search..I looked through some of my old stuff and the only thing I have left from the ole 2000 day's is my 3-ring binder of "flip charts" of the proc's...I haven't seen a Maap panel in years...and your right !! If anyone has a tape left its probably "dry rotted" by now..I used to know a guy in NC that had a bunch of that old stuff I'll try to get ahold of him and see if he still has any and let you know...

Why not replace it with a G3V6 Definity Prologic switch. There a dime a dozen and reliable. all over Ebay.
