Problem with that is no matter what they will hear dial tone...

When you press a line you are not getting trunk access, you are getting IP Office dialtone. Its not until you start dialing, that short code matches happen, and the call is allowed out the trunk.
Watch system status and just press the trunk, you will see the trunk is not seized....

Not so sure that pressing a line appearance button does not seize the line. When they test the Verizon busy roll over they busy out the main number by pressing the appearance button, they then dial the main number from another phone and it does roll to the Verizon busy number so something is making the main number busy.

Will have to watch the status and do some monitoring with the butt set to see what is happening.

May be that the system grabs the line after the dial delay (4 sec) expires. Will do some testing next week as what happened this week (a dead line that we did not know about) is not acceptable.
