Trying to verify DIDs due to carrier screw-up (stole all channels for data on a voice / data T1) so new T1 being installed.
DIDs are listed by carrier and customer as xxx-00xx. but in database I see them as xxx-10xx. Any idea why that's done that way? I don't see a need to change anything, just trying to understand what's going on.

Hard to say why the difference in records...but it all depends on your dial plan and how many "digits" are being sent by carrier..if they are only sending ( 3 ) then what they are showing on the records doesn't make any difference anyway...as long as the did's work !!!
Good Luck with your new T span....

Whenever I tried to change a DID to 00xx, the system changed it to 0. Working with consultant we figured they could delete 7 digits, insert a 1, then send last 3. Not sure why the PBX won't allow a ooxx DID. Possibly something to do with the PBX Attendant being 0.

Not sure which version of Definty your working with..but if you take a look at your dial plan..."0" is probably defined as attnd and single digit..so you can't have a did range of 00xx...it's gonna take the first 0 and route to the attendant.
