Hello all, I am looking at connecting my Magix to an Asterik box, I have it partially working... I can dial between the 2 systems, but when dialing a 1+ (1-555-1212) the Magix seems to be dropping the 1 as the Astersik sees 555-1212, I have to dial it as 1-1-555-1212 and then the asterisk receives 1-555-1212, I also get a lot of D-channel errors on the Asterisk. Is there a place in the Magix to set the D-channel or is it assumed to be channel 24? Was wondering if anyone has setup anything like this before and may have a type of cheat sheet to configure the Magix PRI and Asterisk? All CO lines will be on the Asterisk. The Magix will need to be able to dial the to the Asterisk using 5, 7, and 11 digits.

Right now I have the Asterisk set up as pri-net and 4ess, I will have to check on some of the other settings if more info is needed.

Thanks for any help you can give.

The digits that you send from Magix are controlled by ARS - which must currently be configured to drop that leading "1". D-channel errors are likely due to mismatch in clock source or PRI type. Your best bet is to configure Magix as 5ess and have Asterisk match.

Do you have 8 digit extensions that you are dialing? Why would you be dialing 1+XXX-XXXX?
If you are not strong at programming the Magix, you could always tell Asterisk to insert the 1. I.e exten => xxxxxxx,1,Dial(${Trunk}/1${EXTEN})
Of course that wouldnt be exactly what your setup would be but that should give you enough to start with.
