I currently run an avaya definity Phone system but a friend of mine has the mitel sx-200 lite in his office and his telephone tech has left the company. SO he has asked me to help him out with some changes. has anyone worked on both systems and if so do you think it would be possible to figure it out using the manuals? Also when the old tech was left he did not leave any password information. Is there a default password on these machines and if not is there a recovery procedure?

On the Mitel the default password is 1000 for the installer. There is no back door into it if the password has been changed. You can try and log in under Maint1 and see if it was changed or has any forms restricted. Good Luck
