I'm certified on sx200 Digital light (LW17+) but I'm confronted with an SX200 Analog. Programming is completely difference, and the manual seems to cover everything but.

Would anyone care to give a brief tutorial on programming access?

Specifically, I need to program a virtual or phantom port, to call forward off-property (call for pizza by dialing an extension in the hotel).

I recently read that programming access starts with changing a setting on the scanner card, then "lamp test" "next" ... but where does it go from there? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

You can force a console into program mode by setting the switches or dial an access code. Try 5454 or #*#* , if the lamp test button lights you are in, press lamp test to exit. An overlay is used for the different program modes. I'm not sure if a vitual port can be used for what you want, programming the forward will be an issue.

Apparently, this was configured several years ago, but the client stopped using that feature and no longer knows what the number was, else we might be able to figure out how they did it. Got any add'l tips for us?

Another helpful tidbit -- we need to track down the proper overlay for programming from that console. Anyone know where we can find one, perhaps on line somewhere?

Unfortunately, it's a hotel and at times we find we're lucky to have people remember what extension they're supposed to dial for the operator. Any suggestions as to where I might look for an overlay (that won't involve my customer)?

Exactly what overlays do you need? Would they be the ones for the Superswitch SX100/200? If so I have them.

Check your speed dial lists for the number, an easy way is to foward a single line ext. always to a speed dial bin that dials the number you want.
