I have to see a potential customer with an SX-200 tomorrow that may want a quote on a new voice mail system. I see that Mitel offers the 'Express messenger'. What software rls must the SX-200 be and how do I find that info out when I go there tomorrow?

When you log into maint. mode it will show on the top of the screen. I assume you are talking SX-200 digital, not the older SX-200 analog. Analog VM's will work on G1005 or higher software level, but do yourself a favor & use either COV or digital port interface, your headaches will be smaller.

I have a few Express Messengers out there that are on EL/Mls---they aren't bad, but I'm not super happy about them. The clients are businesses not Hotels. DrPBX--do you have any Mitels out there that you have put a KeyVoice on some ONS cards?? I've always wondered how that would work. The rest of my Mitel clients have COV integrated VMs. They work pretty good---but I've had CPU problems with some of the VMs--the VM manufacturer gets called(they have a web site) by the customer and has customer just send the whole VM to them and then they put in the CPU or other piece of equipment---lost a bit of work because of that--it's annoying some times.

DrPbx/JWRacedog, Based on the little I have seen and know I almost gurantee it is an SX-200 analog. What are my voice mail options then? They have an existing AVT Call express 3(OS2 platform) that works off of four analog ports. They do not know the admin password - I tried using the default(0000) and could not get in. Any ideas there? Any help appreciatted.

I can make any analog VM work on a SX-200 G1005EH OR higher, you just have to know how to use the speed dial tables. Leaving message goes to a speed dial bin & accessing messages goes to a different speed dial bin. In those bins are codes that enter calling/called staion data to pass onto the VM. *9, *4, *6 . VM on an analog SX-200? I haven't been too successful. There was, at one time 218 software that would do a good COV interface, but I don't know if you can get it any more. I know analog ports won't work at all. They don't provide any info to the VM.

I can break the password on a DOS based AVT, I'm not sure if OS2 is the same.
