Hey man can i help out 2 ?. Is it a MX or an LX controller ?, have you ever changed any of the fundemantal IP settings via maintenance port or via telnet ?. Just trying to find out what level of access or experience you've had.
Will this have any affect on any existing VLAN's or DHCP settings as well ?

I've done a lot with setup/config on the 3300... I just can't find what I did with the instructions for this. Considering the last time we had to change it was almost 3 years ago...
I have the 700 user version, when we purchased the 3300, there was no MX, LX... we were very early adopters.

OK my friend i'm really not sure about the 700 as i only got trained on V5.1 onwards of the 3300 (yeah i'm a late comer) but i will give it a go. Do you log onto the RTC via maintence port or telnet ?. DO you then know to enter your "bootChange" command to edit your core IP settings. IE - your RTC address and subnet mask (in HEX), and your default gateway and other setting. If you need some more of these settings you can email me direct as i'm not sure about posting everything on the forum here, i don't know is it OK to post any info here at all ?. Anyway my email is: [email protected]I can attach some documentation that i have.
