When I try to telnet into my SX-200 I get the following error:

CDE currently in use by - CDE Direct Serial Port
Exceeded CDE sessions allowed! CDE access Rejected!

How do I fix this?

Thanks,
Keith

In my experience, a faulty modem or miswired cable connected to the maint port will cause this. Is this an ICP? They seem particularly susceptible to ANY errant signal from the modem. Try disconnecting the modem from the maint port and try to telnet. If that won't clear it, the only way I've found is to reboot the box.

That didn't do it. I called our dealer and they also recomened to hook up to the console port with a computer and try hitting Esc + 6 several times or hitting enter 6 times to clear the session. I will post tommorow with whether this works or not since I dont have a laptop or cable with me.

I see from a previous post you have an ICP. Good luck with the Esc+6. I'm afraid your serial port is locked up (hope I'm wrong). Mitel has told me in the past that a reboot is the only way to clear it.

I was able to hookup a laptop to the serial port and I hit enter several times and unlocked it. Luckly I dont have to reboot [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]
