Hotel application with an 11 yr old sx-50. Wake up function to room extensions not working. Data can be entered using both function & wake soft keys, but will not ring rooms. 8 incomming lines to hotel. Recently updated to provide call waiting "beep" to night function which routes all calls to a portable phone. This update was done to prevent blocking the other 7 lines when night function was chosen on the console. We need this working real soon. Any advice? Thanx in advance.

First step: Turn off the changes that you made last. Do wake-up calls return? If so, which feature is most important to you?

Second thought: Would it be acceptable to do wake-up calls through a voicemail system, instead? Do you have a VM?

Question: When you say that it's 11 years old, do you mean that it was NEW 11 years ago, or that you bought it 11 years ago? Because -- and I know you don't want to hear this -- An SX-50 is at least four generations obsolete (sx-100A, SX200A, SX200D, SX200D-light).

This is the ML/EL/ICP age, my friend...

sounds like a room class of service issue!
look carefully in there there must be a
feature conflict some were in that COS

class of service....ok. Im new at this. I have 25 & 26. It asks me to put a new number, yet I have no reference to what to enter. What do I enter?

Phone manual dated 1990. Ive been here 11 months.
Call waiting added by local company when I was not here.

there free!!adding call waiting on your lines would not effect wake up calls! not sure what you mean by 25&26

THANX! THIS WILL HELP. FRONT DESK CLERK JUST INFORMED ME OF NO-ANSWERED WAKE UP CALLS SETTING OFF ALARMS AT SX-50 CONSOLE AT 7-10 PM AT NIGHT. I KNOW WE PROGRAM THEM IN 24 HR (MILITARY) FORMAT. IS IT POSSIBLE THAT IT IS 12 HRS OFF? EXAMPLE WOULD BE ROOM 124 0730 BEING 7:30 AM CORRECT?

THANX A MILLION! PROBLEM RESOLVED WITH HELP FROM THE WEBSITE LINK YOU PROVIDED. FOUND LITERATURE WITH THE INFO I NEEDED THAT WAS NOT IN OUR USERS MANUAL. AMONG OTHERS, THE MAIN ISSUE WAS TIME FORMAT IN 12 HR, NOT 24 HR. THIS IS ALL GREEK TO ME AND I'M LEARNING FAST. WILL KEEP YOUR BUSINESS IN MIND REGARDING FUTURE NEEDS.
