Hi all,

I have an SX200D 1005 with an ONS voicemail system. I have set up everything but I can't seem to CFWD to a abbr. dial index.

When I forward to the VM hunt group(400) it gives me the options( FWD busy/NA save on/off etc.).

When I forward to the abbr dial index I have no CF options. just F1(exit).

Function/Att Function/Stations/dial local/Call Fwd/8255(abbr dial access code 8 and index 255). No options(Grrrr!!)

Everything else works fine. Msg lights are great. I can log into my mailbox by dialing 8(Abbr dial code) 8(index #). I should be able to fwd to 8(abbr dial code) 255(400*9*6 etc.).

I must be missing a system/COS option for allowing Abbr dial in CFWD options. I've been thru the ONS options a few times and have set everything according to the SX200 Docs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. bill@hardingtelecom.com

Thanks

There is a COS option for Access to Abreviated Dialing. 245, I believe it is. You also want to examine 206 and 207.

Also, you might need to insert the FAC for CF(A) followed by 2 for BY or 3 for NA. So your "busy" string would be 400*9#42*6 etc. (where #4 is CFA FAC). I could be wrong, but that's from my reading of the manual. Actual mileage may vary.

I do this same setup on a few G1005 Enhanced Sites.
Try setting the call fwd code from the station itself. Access code + call fwd type(4) + dest.

I had a look at 245 & 206,207. All enabled for the sets and Console COS's. I'm sure this can be done by the console as I have an EL system with Mitel Mail and they can set up CFD at the console. They dial *7 256.(*7 Abbr access code, 256 Index #). 256 contains VM hunt, pause and Caller ID.

Any other suggestions. Mitel tech support won't help me with this one as the software is discontinued. It must be something simple.

What I have is, make sure system option 21 in enabled. COS options 200 disabled, 206-209 enabled, 245 enabled, 313-319 enabled, 321 disabled. Set the call forwarding from the station itself.

Abbreviated Dial is considered an external call make sure that you allow external call forwarding in the cos. Also enable incoming to external call forward in form 4.
